The Course
The AcademicA Spoken English course has been developed entirely in-house and has been successfully used by many learners like you. Students are taught in a step by step manner that is very different from English courses elsewhere. This is a course where you will learn grammar through language and not language through grammar, much as how a child learns to speak its mother tongue.
Duration: Three months from the start date.
Class setup: Similar to a classroom setup, with a maximum of twenty students.
Class frequency, schedule etc.: Classes are held twice a week, and last about an hour.
Fees, how payable etc.: AcademicA’s online course is highly affordable and fees can be paid in installments too. For the course that is currently offered, The course fee is Rs. 6,000, payable in three installments of Rs. 2,000 each plus a one time registration fee of Rs. 500. Additional details are available on the registration page. Fees are not refundable.
Method of teaching: Classes will be held using Zoom or Google Classroom or similar tools. Students are expected to have a laptop or a desktop for best results. Handheld mobiles are not considered ideal for this kind of learning as a level of casualness creeps in with such use.
Other matters:
The course is not structured to meet IELTS or other test requirements. If for any reason, the duration exceeds three months, students will not be charged for the additional period.

While all this is fine and sounds encouraging, you will need to be aware of something: you will not become an expert in the language, not after a short three months course like this. Language is something that is learned, practiced, refined and further refined over time. It is in fact a life long learning process.
But this we assure you: you will definitely learn the basics of English, be able to carry on a conversation and ask questions and speak with confidence. And we hope that by the end of your course, you will be encouraged to explore the history, the literature and the poetry of this beautiful language.
